A unique HFO ventilator that provides gentle and effective treatment

Medidyne has entered into a distribution agreement with InnoVentiv for distribution of the Humming Vue ventilator manufactured by Metran. The agreement makes Medidyne the exclusive distributor of Humming Vue in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

The creator of Humming Vue is Metran, a Japanese manufacturer of medical devices. The company has been making innovations in HFO ventilation since its founding in 1984. Today Metran’s HFO ventilators are used in almost 90% of NICUs in Japan.

An HFO ventilator with effective piston technology

High frequency oscillatory (HFO) ventilation is a gentle form of ventilation ideal for small patients with fragile lungs. HFO ventilators use oscillating mechanisms to deliver small, quick breaths. This method creates an effective gas exchange and avoids big changes in pressure that may cause VILI (ventilator-induced lung injury).

Humming Vue is a volume-generating HFO ventilator built with powerful and accurate piston technology. This makes it suitable for both the smallest and biggest patients at the neonatal and pediatric care units: With Humming Vue you can ventilate patients from 0.3-40 kg. You can finetune the stroke volume and the ventilator will maintain the set stroke volume even when lung compliance changes.
